Clipdrop

Clipdrop is Stability AI's suite of AI image editing tools, acquired by Stability AI in 2022. It provides a collection of focused image manipulation tools that individual designers, photographers, and product teams use to quickly accomplish specific editing tasks without requiring Photoshop expertise.

The suite includes background removal, comparable to remove.bg but with additional editing capabilities after removal; image upscaling similar to Topaz's Gigapixel; Stable Diffusion-based text-to-image generation; object removal that fills in backgrounds where removed objects were; image relighting that changes the lighting in a photograph; sky replacement; and cleanup tools for removing specific elements from images.

The relighting feature is one of the more distinctive tools in the collection. Upload a product photo and change the apparent light source direction, intensity, and colour in real time. This is useful for e-commerce teams that photograph products under standard lighting and need variations for different creative contexts without a reshoot.

The free plan includes most tools but with watermarked outputs and usage limits. The Pro plan at $13 per month removes these restrictions. The API is available for developers who want to integrate Clipdrop tools into their own applications.
